She was born and raised in Ukraine.
She graduated from Kyiv Medical University with a degree in Dentistry. Throughout her career, she practiced in hospitals in Arkhangelsk-55, Russia, as well as in private dental practice in Sevastopol, Ukraine, as a general dentist for 14 years.
After moving to the United States, she obtained a license in dental hygiene and worked as a dental hygienist in Deltona, Florida. In 2008, she was accepted into the Dental Program at the University of Florida with international education and graduated in May 2010. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Florida Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Lyudmila Onyski opened Wayside Family Dental in 2012. Her hobbies besides dentistry include reading, movies, exercise, knitting, and sewing.
