I am an eye surgeon, specializing in oculoplastic, reconstructive, and orbital surgery, with additional training in ocular oncology. I became a doctor because I was drawn to the combination of science and compassionate care in medicine. While I was inspired by the ophthalmic practice of my mother and grandfather, my path to this specialty began when I was a medical student, when I received a grant from the National Institute of Health for translational cancer research and decided to study tumors affecting the eyes.
My experience has given me a deep understanding of how important vision is for quality of life, as well as how certain eye and orbital conditions can impact it. I decided to complete a residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in ocular oncology and oculoplastic surgery.
I treat people of all ages who have eyelid, lacrimal system, and orbital diseases. I also specialize in treating eye tumors and surrounding areas, with a focus on conjunctival, eyelid, and orbital oncology.
