We are a Russian-speaking Jewish school located in Rockville (Maryland), at the Bender JCC of Greater Washington.
The programs are sponsored by organizations: Genesis Philanthropy Group and The Jewish Federations of North America.
We offer the following classes and programs:
Russian language,
Mathematics and logic,
Hebrew,
Art (drawing),
Music,
Bar and Bat Mitzvah,
Leadership program for teenagers.
We try to find an approach to everyone. For children who do not speak Russian fluently, our teachers can use a mediator language (English).
We celebrate our Jewish traditions as a whole family.
At Shalom, we develop community-oriented programs of cultural events, Shabbat, and Jewish holidays.
Our children embody Jewish culture, bringing traditional dishes and performing plays and music.
